Pre-operation inspection

Before each use, the operator must perform a daily inspection to ensure the machine is in safe working condition.

  • Initial Steps: Unplug Burro from the charger and check that the battery level is at 100%. Check that the UI has loaded maps and that GPS has a fixed status.

  • Clean Sensors: Wipe the LiDAR, front vision cameras, and rear vision cameras with a dry, lint-free cloth to ensure no dust or residue build-up.

  • Wear and Tear:

    • Inspect front and rear bumper bars for visible damage.

    • Check that all buttons on the front and rear button boxes are in working condition.

    • Ensure front and back lights turn on and are functioning properly.

    • Check that the safety beacon is flashing.

    • Check that antennas are intact and in the correct position.

    • Ensure battery cables are not damaged and have no exposed copper.

    • Check tires for correct pressure, condition, and wear.

    • Check the Burro platform for damage.

  • Functionality Check:

    • Press the bumper bars and ensure the UI shows activation.

    • Test the front and rear button boxes to ensure the unit moves forward and backward correctly.

    • Press the back stop button and ensure the UI shows activation.

    • Press the front stop button and ensure the UI shows activation.
