Transportation
Transporting the Machine
Under no circumstances should anyone stand in front of or behind the Burro while it is moving on a ramp. The machine's weight poses a significant risk of injury or fatality.
Loading and Unloading
Remove Payload 1
Before loading or unloading, remove any payload from the top of the vehicle.
Ramp Rating2
Ensure the ramp has a weight rating of at least 1500 lbs and an incline no greater than 20 degrees. Chock the transport vehicle's wheels and securely attach the ramps.
Burro Speeds3
Adjust the Burro's speed setting on the UI to 1.0 m/s or less.
Controls4
Stand to the side of the Burro and use the Forward/Reverse buttons on the remote or yellow button panel to guide it up or down the ramp. We highly recommend using the remote control to move the robot around during loading & unloading workflows.
Securing for Transport
Use 2-inch ratchet tie-down straps with a working load limit of at least 1,500 lbs. Attach one strap to each of the four marked tie-down points on the Burro's frame, securing them to appropriate anchor points in the transport vehicle.
