Publish

Make multiple edits, then save when you are ready.

Boss Web now supports a more flexible editing workflow. You can make as many changes as you want on a site and publish them all at once by clicking Save. Multiple editors can also work on the same site at the same time.

What’s New?

For new users

This is the standard editing workflow in Boss Web:

  • Make changes freely as you work

  • Click Save when you are ready to publish

  • Your changes are sent to the robots only after you save

For existing BossWeb users

If you used an older version of Boss Web, here is what has changed:

  • Multiple people can now edit the same site at the same time

  • You no longer need to save after every tool change

  • The Save prompt will not appear constantly during normal editing

  • You can now make several updates in one session and save once at the end

How Publish Works

As you make changes, they are stored locally in your browser until you click Save.

When you click Save:

  • Your changes are published

  • Other users can see your updates

  • The robots receive the latest version of the site

Important Things to Remember

1. Your edits are private until you save

While you are working, your changes are visible only to you.

This means:

  • Your coworkers will not see your updates right away

  • Your changes will remain local until you click Save

2. Robots do not receive changes until you save

Even if your edits appear complete in the editor, they are not live until you publish them.

If you want robots to use the updated site, you must click Save.

3. Closing the browser without saving will discard your changes

If you try to:

  • switch sites

  • close the browser

  • close your computer

  • leave the page

Boss Web will warn you if you have unsaved changes.

If you choose to leave without saving:

  • your unsaved changes will be discarded after you confirm.

If you stay on the page:

  • you can save your work before leaving

Best Practice

info:

Before leaving a site, always click Save if you want to keep your changes and publish them to robots.

Summary

The new publish workflow is designed to make editing faster and more flexible:

  • Edit without constant save interruptions

  • Work on the same site with other users

  • Save once when you are ready to publish

For users coming from the older Boss Web workflow, the biggest change is simple: you now save when you are ready, not after every step.
