Auto-snap

Quickly connect paths and network segments with less manual alignment.
With Auto-Snap, you can move a path or segment close to an open connection point, and it will automatically snap into place. This makes it faster to join network segments, reduce gaps, and build a more connected site.

How to Use Auto-Snap

  1. Select the element you want to move
    Choose the path or segment you want to connect.

  2. Switch to Translate mode
    Go to the bottom toolbar and select Translate.

  3. Move the element near a connection point
    Drag the selected element near:

    • a diamond

    • a split in the line

    • another open segment

  4. Let Auto-Snap align it
    When the element is close enough, it will automatically snap to the nearby connection point.

  5. Release to place the connection
    Once the segment is aligned, release your mouse to place it.

Use Auto-Snap with Batch Actions

Auto-Snap also works with Batch Actions, so you can move multiple selected elements and align them to other open segments more efficiently.

To use Auto-Snap with multiple elements:

  1. Use Shift + drag to select multiple elements.

  2. Switch to Translate from the bottom toolbar.

  3. Drag the selected elements near open connection points.

  4. Release when the elements snap into place.
