Permanent Row Crop Data Collection
RTK Torch for Crops Grown in Permanent Rows
The RTK Torch is an essential tool to collect the exact positions of the end of your crop rows. These points are collected and imported to BOSS Web to generate Row to Row routes.
Setting up the RTK Torch
To set up the RTK Torch, refer to the general Usage Instructions. It is recommended to use a monopod or surveying pole to ensure consistent measurement

Collecting Points
Collect a point of every row end, using the “Point” measurement mode on the GEO-MEASURE app.
Ensure the point is collected at the end of the row - Burro will drive no closer to the row than the collected point. Ensure the point is collected centered on the crop row.
While collecting points, take care to not miss any rows, or get duplicate readings of a row.
Generally, points should be collected in order up one side of a block (A points) and down the other side (B points). Multiple blocks can be collected at one time (up one side of many blocks, collecting A points) then down the other side of the block colelcting B points, as long as points are collected in order i.e. (1,2,3,4,5) but not (1,3,2,4,5).
